I was a bit surprised the gearbox was ABS plastic and the motor assembly was turned up instead of down like OEM. The latter caused annoyance installation problems since the speaker in a 1994 Ford F250 ALT is inches away and would obviously grab at the motor. The operator does fit and it does seem to operate well. We will see how the move to a plastic gearbox works. The previous operator was OEM from January 1994 and the gearbox failed.

Fit perfectly in my 1989 Ford F-350. I chose to replace the rivets that I drilled out with nuts and bolts to ease any future replacement and because I didn’t happen to have my big rivet gun available at the time. Window now works flawlessly and raises and lowers very quickly.

This is the first time that I have bought auto parts online and given a product review, however being that I read many reviews when researching products to purchase, I thought I would comment on this one. Review on Dorman window regulator with motor driver’s side #741-674, and pass side #741-754
I have a 1992 Ford F-150 that needed the window motor/regulators in both doors replaced. I checked the parts stores in my area for prices on the parts and then found them on Amazon at nearly half the price for the same brand part.
They shipped packaged well and I recieve the parts in good condition via Amazon Prime and UPS. The motors on these were somewhat smaller than the OEM part in the truck, and are made in Tiawan. They were easy to install once you have removed the old ones, the mounting holes line up perfectly and wire plugs into original harness connector. After installing them I lubricated the window tracks with some silicone spray to help work more smoothly. They both are working great so far, at the time of this review they have been in use for a couple of weeks, and I’m satisfied with the product.

I bought this to replace the power window motor and regulator in my 1990 Bronco. I’ve bought Dorman motor/regulators before and this one was no exception to the quality I’ve come to expect from them. Installation was simple enough (once I drilled out the rivets holding the old one in… that is how they were installed by Ford) and the new one matched up perfectly and I bolted it right in. Note that this does not include the mounting hardware i.e. nuts and bolts. That can be purchased at any hardware store or automotive parts store. Make sure to use flat washers and lock washers. My power windows now work perfectly.

I have come to believe in dorman products. Quality at a fair price. Dorman fixes problems so you can be assured stock or better quality. And yes it was as fast and consistent going up and down as it was in their advertising.
