The regulator was not assembled properly. I had to flatten the lock nub in the lower track, put the plastic glide in the track, and raise the lock nub with a punch. Took about an extra 1/2 hour to make the repair. The regulator works fine otherwise.

Looked like the right part, but it was actually for the driver’s side, even though it was advertised and shipped as for the passenger’s side. Do yourself a favor, and double check before installing. Otherwise seemed like a quality product.

I ordered the Dorman Power Window Regulator for both driver and passenger sides of my 2000 Honda Civic Si. They arrived on schedule in good condition. Installation was straight forward with bolt holes and wiring lining up perfectly. I also replaced both window channel seals purchased from local Honda OEM dealer. Install of channels took longer than the regulators, but well worth it since the door was already apart with window removed. Finished both doors in a half a day. Price and quality was excellent, given one OEM regulator was $290 installed if local shop performed the work, and that did not include a new channel. Purchased two new Dorman regulators with motors for $90 from Amazon, OEM door channels were $140 from local dealer. Should note that Dorman has updated the design and added a strong spring to assist the motor in the up & down movement of the power window. This way the stress is not all on the motor as with the OEM design. Both windows are functioning smooth, better than I can remember 16 years ago. I am completely satisfied with the Dorman regulators and ease of install.

so it works pretty good but the only problem was, it was for the wrong side! the product details may say its for the passengers side but its really for the drivers.

I own a 2000 honda civic Ex. 2dr. My passenger right side window regulator ate up its gear and grinded it causing my window to not go up all the way. This was perfect. It fit like a glove. I tackled the project alone, and you have to remove your inner door panel. Its not difficult, just remove the screws all the ones you find on the edges, the door handle, the switch. Take your time, remove it and apply some pressure taking it off the panel since in the inside it will have some tight fit buttons. Then its just a matter of removing a couple of bolts that hold the motor in place and carefully bring down the window, unbolt it from the slider and take out the old piece. Reverse your process and put it all back together. Took about 30mins to do. Screw driver (Philips)/socket wrench w/extension. I forget the size, its probably 10mm like most of the bolts on the car. Bring a towel, and careful with your window scratching/breaking. The End result, working window. Perfect. I forgot to say, before tackling it all, I always test my products and an easy way is taking the door panel off, removing the switch to the old regulator n just connecting it to the new one. Press the window up or down button, if it moves, your good to go.

This regulator was awesome. I don’t remember if it came with instructions for assembly into the car door, but cmon… if you’re not on YouTube getting smarter you’re living in the Stone Age.

– **Helpful hint, in a pinch, WD-40 works, but it’s mostly to displace water (Hence WD), but I highly recommend going to the auto part store and getting the little packet of connection grease and putting it into your window jam tracks. That honestly helped maintain the performance after installation. Getting some grease in there with the new regulator makes a huge difference.
