Worked with no issues. One of the simpler ways to install, everything is in place to where things should be to screw in bolts for the window with out playing with the up down. You will have to have the old mechanism / window to about a inch from bottom to undo bolts from old mechanism, then pull window up / tape in place and pull out old mechanism and then put in new… lower window reattach 2 bolts for window onto mechanism and then all the support bolts and test. It should be that simple.
But all in all worked with no issues, I purchased an open box AMAZON one for half the price as in many cases I find these just to have a packaging issue and never tried to be installed and if they do not work same warranty. Sooooo I have zero complaints.

I have installed these in a Dodge Caravan and Jeep Liberty previously, and this one for the Xterra was the simplest yet. I was a little apprehensive. The most difficult part to me is the removal and replacement of the door trim and attachments. I would highly recommend spending an additional $10 for a door trim removal tool. I got the Lisle 35260 Plastic Fastener Remover. That helps avoid breaking clips and cuts down the time. I also recommend taking snapshots of the various stages of removal, because sometimes it is difficult to remember what went where and what order they need to be replaced. Also check online for videos. In my case there were none for the Xterra, but was one for the Titan, which helps get an understanding of how a manufacturer designs things. Bottom line, Dorman is the best. They may cost a few dollars more, but you do NOT want to cut corners here! Once you seal that door back up, you don’t want to have to tear it back down! If you get the trim tool, the only other things you need are a phillips head screwdriver and 10mm socket. You can do it!,

This was my first window repair. Very easy project.
Bought a used one from here( heard its minor damage usually, in my case just a bent mounting hook for the motor nothing pliers can’t undo) and watched an install video on YouTube for my Nissan Xterra 2002. Took about 40 minutes and works great! Save yourself some money and do it yourself.
Also might as well buy this combo regulator/motor instead of one of pieces separately. Not much of a price difference and saves you the added install time of attaching them to each other. Refreshing both parts could potentially save labor time in the future if the older part fails down the road.
