The cable on the original regulator/motor had snapped, and my drivers side window dropped in to the door, and I was unable to have it stay up. I used Google/YouTube to diagnose the problem as I dreaded taking this to a repair shop since I was quoted $300-$400 to fix. After watching some DIY repair videos, I thought I would give this a shot. I found this product on Amazon, ordered it on a Thursday, and it was rec’d on a Sunday thanks to Amazon Prime! I watched YouTube videos on how to remove the broken assembly and replace with the new one. They said it would take1-2 hours for beginners – took me just over an hour even though I’m mechanically-challenged – lol. The new assembly fits like a charm, and my window is now working great.

The Dorman product functions and fits exactly as the original equipment. I just replaced it a few months ago, so I will monitor it for longevity and update this review after a year or more. (The original power window motor and regulator assembly lasted a decade before the motor needed replacing.)

Product arrive ahead of schedule in with no visible damage. Midway through the installation I discovered a bent piece of metal with the screw holes not lining up. Had to use a plied ti bend it back 90 degrees. By doing so did not ruin the integrity of the metal and upon completion of the install the made in Taiwan product worked like a champ. Will see after 5-10 years.

Install was straight forward, works great. Only issue was not having strong adhesive but fixed that issue with 5200. It’s on forever now.

I liked the whole thing – fit without any issues, cost about 1/10 of the price the Nissan dealer quoted, and installation took about an hour or two
