I assume this is usually a good product based on the reviews, so I don’t want to ruin it’s rating…
It must not work for evo 8’s? Not sure, but fact of the matter is last oil change I had an oem washer and no leak and this oil change was my first time using this washer and it’s leaking pretty Damn bad. My drain plug has the built in oem oil temp sensor for the gauge. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I used this on my wife’s Yamaha V-Star 650 with a M14 drain plug. I replaced the existing crush washer that obviously had been repeatedly used by the previous owner. The bike didn’t have a bad leak, but enough to have oil build up on the drain plug and frame rails. I used one of these Dorman crush washers during the last oil change and it has stopped the leak. I like this particular design because in my opinion they actually crush and seal better than the plain flat crush washers, but they should really be replaced with every oil change.
Currently a 3 pack of these crush washers cost roughly what a single Yamaha one sells for. I came back to buy some more for spares and found the price has gone way up. This is one of the things I don’t like about buying on Amazon. It seems they have constant and sometimes crazy price fluctuations. A few cents I understand, but 2-3 times the price doesn’t make sense to me. If you pay less than $8 shipped then I would say this is a decent deal. I paid about $3 which WAS a good deal.

I installed this crush I bought from you, and have an oil leak. I did see on package is says oversize crush? Why? I also noticed that there are two different sides to it. One side is flat, while other is rounded. Which side goes which way? Flat part of Crush should face bolt side, and rounded toward oil pan. As you tighten washer,round side flattens to confirm and not let oil leak out. If you put the flat side towards oil pan,it will leak. Figured this would help everyone installing one out, thanks.

Wow, what can I say about a drain plug gasket. I put a new one on each time I change oil and never have leaks. These work great and cost is cheaper than a dealer.
