So, I just successfully installed this thing in my van, and there are a couple things I wish I did before I installed it.
This is a PITA project to begin with so if you are embarking on this journey as a shade tree mechanic like myself, here are a couple suggestions. Though this may be a standard replacement not from Ford, there are differences, the most significant one being a plastic part with NO Brass inserts except for the throttle body. In the package, there is a screws and fittings bag. There are 8 Larger screws and I think 12 or so slightly thinner screws. They dont tell you what is what. Carefully look at all the posts, they appeared to be all the same size, yet, 2 different size screws. I would try and find additional LARGER sized screws. I used the large ones on the COPs and then the fuel rail one seemed to strip out even before it was snug. Cant tighten into plastic. When pulling up the fuel rail/injectors, the injectors did come out pretty easy so, may want to take pressure off the fuel lines. Also, in advance get new O Rings for the injectors. You are in there, may was well do it right. So far, so good, runs like a champ and no leaks.
1 – Find Additional Larger size plastic screws
2 – Get O rings for Injectors. (top and bottom, 16 in total)
3 – Throttle body Cleaner, cause that will be pretty gunked up.

Dorman, does not stand behind their products. I installed an intake manifold on my F150. It came with an already installed plug with a clamp installed by Dorman on the rear of the manifold. I left it alone thinking wrongly since Dorman shipped it that way it’s fine. All was good for a week. Then driving on interstate the plug popped off. Coolant lost. I pulled over. Fortunately before I blew my engine. Dorman defect. Bad clamp holding plug on. I fixed it by simply putting a better clamp on it. Took half hour. However towing truck to my house cost $140. Coolant was $15. $155 total. Tried to get reimbursed. FREEKING NIGHTMARE!! Stupid people. They want to ship me new manifold. It cost $330 something dollars. They will pay me $65 an hour to replace it. 4.4 hour ERT. That’s over $600 parts and labor. But they won’t give me $155 to pay for towing and coolant I had to buy. I all ready fixed it by simply putting a better hose clamp on it. Get this. If I get a new manifold, I still have to make the repairs on the new one otherwise it will just pop off again. It’s a good product. If you get one put a better hose clamp on it. But they really need to brush up on customer service.
I just talked to Chris from Dorman. They said they will reimburse me. They gain a few more stars.

Everything with the manifold itself was all good except for 1 issue… the heater hose cap comes with a spring clamp that holds it on, but apparently it is defective because it blew off while driving on the highway (Other reviewers had this same exact issue). Luckily, I heard it and was able to pull over right away. Replaced the spring clamp with a worm style clamp. So far, so good. Do yourself a favor and REPLACE THAT CLAMP BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE MANIFOLD!!!

I don’t recommend this intake I order this part and installed and doesn’t fit like the original my fuel injector didt fit at all I return it pay 308 and I got 244 back bad customer service for a very low quality part

Installed on 2009 f150 stx 4.6L. Fits perfect. The only issue was the alternator mounting bracket. I ended up using my old one. So far no problems its been a week.

Every thing works fine but for a ford f150 had a issue, see the wing clamp on the back left after a week of having it on I had to accelerate fast to avoid a vehicle and this popped off on me on the highway. This cause anti freeze to spray all over the engine and also I was low on anti freeze. I ended up having to clean off spark plugs after a week and they were brand new because antifreeze leaked in there as well. . I was lucky to have a hose clamp on me and luckily the gasket that blew off landed on top of the engine. It’s been about a month or so and it works good with the hose clamp . This is a little louder then my oem that I had before and also paranoia due to thinking every noise I have will be a issue from anti freeze leaking or being put in wrong spot but I feel everything is fine now . I did have good power but I think due to antifreeze getting in curtain areas I notice less power and less mpg just got to figure out where else it sprayed . But if you put your hose clamp on first this is a good buy .just replace the chrome wing clamp to hose sorry so repetitive but trying to save you guys the hassle I went through
Updating this review the coolant cap is a piece of shhh order an after market one so I hose clamped it and after about a month it blew through the rubber causing me to lose all my coolant . If you buy this get the 3ply poly . First hot day and it blew through it roughly around 2200 rpms
