I purchased both the driver and passenger side Dorman valve covers for my 2013 Cadillac ATS 3.6L vehicle based on Amazon’s indication that they would fit. Although the products fit, my car would not operate after their installation. After a week of troubleshooting why my car wouldn’t start after replacing the valve covers, we discovered that the new valve covers were not fully grounded. We removed the new valve covers, reinstalled the old ones, and the car started right up. Unfortunately, I didn’t get around to the repair until after the return window had closed, so I’m now stuck with $200 worth of plastic valve covers that I can’t use or return. Make sure to call the manufacturer and provide the VIN number of your car before purchasing these valve covers to verify if they will work with your vehicle. The Amazon car fit feature is not always accurate, and this is a prime example of one of those times.
I’m still giving the review three stars because they were affordable and fit, but they did not function properly. If they did, I would have probably left a 4-5 start review. The attachment bolts were preset for torque, but were a bit sloppy and I did not feel as if they were tightened correctly. Hope this helps the next person!
