Scott (Technogeek) –
I guess this would work for very light duty battery clamping, but I won’t trust it with a 75lb battery bouncing around.
The construction of the top bracket is top notch, but the clamps and their sloppy fit in the slots leave a lot to be desired.
I understand the design was geared toward maximum universal fit, but the strength is IMHO inadequate for the heavy weight of car batteries.
I sure miss the old “S” style clamps, but they are hard to find anymore.

This design is so cheap and poor. Absolutely no instructions for installation included. After 20-minutes of trial and error I was finally able to “secure†the battery only to watch the clips pop off a moment later. Poorly thought out and dangerous! DO NOT BUY THIS!

Does not hold battery down on a bumpy road. Quality manufacturing / POOR DESIGN!

took significant time to install, less than 10 miles later had to spend more time since side brackets came out. less than two miles later replaced it with a bungee cord. So if this review prevents someone else from wasting their precious time then it was worth writing.
