Many times electrical repair kit or electrical repair pigtails are not available from the vehicle manufacturers. Many times the word that you hear from their parts department at the dealerships is: “have to replace the whole harness” or “engine harness is no longer supplied” hence no longer available.
As the plastic housings are aging (especially with the heat under the hood) or they break when trying to disconnect them, it is such a great thing to find replacement electrical pigtails.
For this one, I removed the wires with the pins from the pigtail and replaced the plastic housing only, as the latching tab on the OEM connector was broken and the connector was loose and the pins were not always able to make a good & stable contact.
I do have a couple more connectors to repair with pigtails from the same manufacturer or from the Standard Motor Products. Go to their website to find the electric repair pigtails by looking for the sensors that they attach to.

My symptom was occasionally having no accelerator at all when I press it. This part looks identical externally, but did not fit. My throttle has a flat spline connection, like a flat screwdriver. In this picture the OEM Ford is on the left, this part is on the right, with the two tabs protruding into the middle hole. This spline connection is exactly opposite of what I need. This pedal sensor was VERY easy to access on my 1999 Super Duty, it is on the left side of the accelerator pedal assembly with nothing in the way, 5 minute job. It is secured with two T-25 screws and a push-button plug connector. Check yours before ordering, Ford must have used two different types of splines, possibly changed in later years after April 1998, when mine was built. The sunshine is spring loaded, so it will automatically be at the correct position when installed. You may need to press the pedal a bit and wiggle the sensor to get the it to drop back into position. I exercised mine back and forth a few dozen times and stuck it back in, it should be fine until a new one shows up.

Plug does not fit. Pins do not align. The casing does go over the plug, but it will not plug in to the pins.

After I plugged this in carefully, one of the wires seems to have lost its hold in the plastic and could slide out of the wire in. Not good quality plastic but I had it in hand from order so it is going on.
