My lady friend neighbor lost the clamps for her battery charger. It had two sets, one with ring terminals and one with clamps. I was tossing out a charger maintainer so I cut the clamps off, ordered these quick disconnect plugs, soldered and used heat shrink and made a nice clamp set for her charger. It seemed to be the most cost effective solution.

With only 14 AWG wire, they are for lower power solar panels, but fine if you dont
have to go far with them. I like 10 AWG best.

This type of quick connect is used with a lot of low current 12 VDC devices.
First off the one I got is just like the one pictured. It is for use as an in line connector. By that I mean one plug is to be hooked to the power supply. The other is hooked to the load. ( The load side connector is the one with the red wire pin fully exposed.)

These are not meant to connect to each other. That are 2 of the same side. What I mean by that is you can use them as connectors with each other but one side black would be power and red would be ground. I made that mistake when I bought them. I believe they have an option you can buy legit cables that go together. Appear of quality and no issues so far.

Royal Enfield 350 has an SAE adapter for a trickle charger and this cable will allow me to use my 2 amp charger occasionally to keep the battery topped off if I go a couple weeks without riding.

The positive and negative colors don’t line up with the side they should be on, but the plugs work just fine. The red should be on the “covered” side of the power supply side, and the red should be on the “exposed” side of the equipment side. These came with both the same configuration. No big deal, but just pay attention when you are installing them. ***Some things are polarity picky with using DC power, and you also don’t want a “hot” terminal exposed.
