Someone on a forum suggested I try a DT466E version of the CPS sensor for my 2001 7.3 Ford Powerstroke diesel. Some CPS sensors can have slightly different drivability and fuel mileage characteristics. So far this one has worked for me but I don’t see much difference MPG-wise yet. I have like half a dozen CPSes in my glovebox now.
Note: only older model 7.3’s with casting problems/timing wheel runout issues need the shims. I have not needed the shims at all so far on any CPS. Seems like they just include them for free nowadays.
