Part took a couple of weeks to arrive… But came complete with no damage to packaging. Part was a true fit for my 96 Avalon. Detriot Axel has my business for sure. But if you can request any shipper besides Fed Ex Ground…

It fixed the problem I had with my car

It was half the price of all of the other remanufactured racks for my old Avalon, and it was a perfect match and fit.

Product arrived promptly. Was packaged well. Two problems I had with the unit: 1. The main mount on the passenger side did not line up with the holes in the fram. Wasn’t until I removed the unit to attempt modification that I realized that the passenger side mount slide side to side. 2. Spline was not a good fit, could not get it to slide on, had to use rope and inverted scissor Jack to press it home. 3. Worst of all, the pressure line tapped holes were crap, barely got the high pressure side screwed in and the low pressure side would not go in at all, stripped the first 2 or 3 threads. Would have returned as defective if it wasn’t so much hell involved in removing and re installing. I have ordered taps and die to chase the remaining threads in Hope’s the fitting can be salvaged (an additional $25bucks and 3 day wait). If you order this unit, be sure to chase the hydraulic fitting threads before installation.

Fits well & solved my power steering leak problem

I forgot to on-wind the steering column so now I have to disconnect driver side to on-wind and connect back again, other wise if I leave as is when driving, car shakes when going thru turns, some notes would of been helpful, other then that part is good.

I installed the rack and pinion on my 96 Avalon without issue. However, after driving only a few miles, a large amount of steering fluid leaked out the end of the cylinder into the rubber boot. I’m now looking at buying a replacement.
