Getting the old hardware out was not fun at all. I did it myself in the driveway with some help from a buddy or two. But it was a nightmare with everything rusted in place. That being said new parts were identical to the old, and were a direct fit. Went in real easy. The ride is smooth and I have no complaints as of yet. If I run into any issues I will re-post but for now I am a very happy customer! I would recommend them to a friend looking to do the same job.

So I have been driving on the new parts for several months now including a road trip out of state to Michigan the land of potholes. And I have to say everything is holding up great. I am super impressed and really happy. Only thing I recommend doing which I should have done at install but didn’t have a grease gun is to lube up those sway bar end links they com with zerk fittings and can be greased up when ever you feel like doing it, I will be doing that this weekend. 5 stars All around!

I bought the parts and had them put in at a shop. Other than having a little noise, they’re fine and ride well. They only have a few hundred miles on them being that they are on my back up vehicle, time will tell. I was told that these tend to freeze up in the cold and snowy weather but I haven’t had that problem yet and I live near Erie Pa and it’s December.

Direct fit and easy install if you have the proper tools. Close to OE quality, but NOT OE quality. Vehicle feels great after install and you must get an alignment after install.

Sept 12th- I liked the price, the only big gripe I would have is that the studs on the top need to just be the same length. Besides that I had no issue putting them in.
If anything changes about the struts or the quality of it decreases drastically then I’ll update this review to reflect it

I purchased a set of these to replace some old struts I had. Since installation I’ve had problems with noise in the suspension, metal/metal noises and bumps. Took to a front-end shop 4 times to diagnose the noises, and they pointed to them early, but kept recommending other parts be replaced because these were new. After nearly $1000 in replacement of other parts, I’ve come to the conclusion from the sounds that these struts were failures from the get-go. I verified the failure of these struts when I paid to replace them with other struts from tire shop and the noise is now gone. Very expensive lesson here.
Save your money and find better products.

As far as quick struts go, you really don’t want to skimp out by getting a low grade version of these things (speaking as an ex-mechanic). On the other hand, when you don’t want to spend that kind of money on a junk, temporary vehicle, these are probably the next best thing (no offense to Detroit Axle). I looked through several manufacturers for “generic brand” quick struts and I felt Detroit Axle met my standards for getting what I needed, feeling like I was going to get the mileage out of the product and not going to spend a ton of money in the process. I chose well as I’ve had these on my vehicle for over 2 years and have had no issues.
