Easy to install and so far it is quiet and braking is very smooth. Make sure to look at the tag. It will have an “L” or an “R” after the part number indicating the proper placement in your car.
If you are sitting inside the car facing the hood, the “L” is to your left side and the “R” is to your right. OR if you are in USA, the “L” is your driver side and the “R” is the passenger side.
Also, make sure to follow the break-in procedure. It will be loud at first but after following the break-in procedure, it is really quiet and smooth. The break-in procedure says something like drive to 50mph then break to 30mph and repeat 5x. Make sure that when you step on break that you do it “SMOOTHLY” to slow down from 50mph to 30mph and speed up again and “DO NOT HARD BRAKE” to stop your car from 50mph to 30mph quickly. If you do a hard braking, you might warp the rotor and it will cause the vibration when you are stopping from freeway speed. I learned that from experience 25 years ago when I had the rotor on my very first car replaced and the mechanic told me to break it in. I thought I have to stop from freeway speed to 30 quickly so I did hard braking and I was wondering why my car have a slight vibration every time I step on break from freeway speed and the vibration will stop when I reach below 40mph and I just taught that was normal until I have to replace my brake again and I was told that my rotor is warped and needs to be replaced again.
A lot of so called internet expert says that the orientation does not matter if the cooling vanes are straight. This have straight cooling vanes but I contacted the manufacturer to make sure and I was told to look for the Part Number and the “L” or “R” after the number because this is directional. Maybe that is the issue with some users complaining that this product is loud or produce a lot of dust.

I never used Detroit Axle before but decided to give it a try. I liked the idea you get everything you need in the box. You don’t have to worry about getting started and finding out you need something you had forgotten.
I have been doing brakes for myself and friends fo 55 years these were the easiest that I have ever done. They have been on for a while now and I am very happy with them. I would highly recommend them

Ordered this for my dad. He was very satisfied with this product as it included some small parts and brake oil that Autozone or O’Really doesn’t include when they sell the brake kit. I tested the car later and very satisfied with the amazing result it got to my car as well. Highly recommend this brand if your are looking to buy brake kit for your car.

Trying the slotted rotors on 2006 Odyssey becasue it keeps warping rotors. Not sure why, has done since it was new, have heard this was an issue with these brakes on this vehicle.
These seem just as good as anything else I have used, and I’ve done 8-10 or so on this vehicle. Will update if the last longer than others.

I was impressed with the quality of the parts. I assumed I would have to clean off and reuse the old brake pad clips but they included all new ones in the package. This was a good product for a good price.

Probably the best money i spent on this van so far. It comes with ceramic pads and a bottle of brake fluid AND a bottle of brake cleaner. All this only $99.

Most reviews of Detroit Axle products say they are cheap and not that great. I bought these for my 2006 Odyssey. The last set from another manufacturer didn’t hold up. They warped and had a lot of pedal pulse. I bought these and took my time installing. I needed to do a little filing to get them to fit without binding, but they turned out to be a great fit in the end. Good, even stopping power and smooth. Would buy again. Don’t let the cheap price fool you. Take your time and install then correctly, and you’ll be pleased.
