A good value filter from a reputable brand with solid construction.

The Denso 150-2006 Engine Oil Filter offers great performance with its solid filtration and durable build. It fits perfectly on my Honda and keeps the oil clean. The anti-drain back valve is a nice feature for smoother starts. However, the smooth exterior can make it a bit tricky to install, but overall, it’s a dependable filter from a trusted brand.

Perfect fit for 2015 Honda CRV. Be sure to put some oil in the filter before you spin in on. Let gasket make contact with filter base, then hand-tighten 3/4 turn.

Disappointed it’s made in China. I would say it feels like average quality. Definitely not on the level of a toyota or motorcraft filter. I’m sure it will be fine, but I’ll try another brand next time.

Ordered this oil filter and it came really fast. Like in 12 to 15 hours. Not much to say as it’s an oil filter! BUT quality is top-notch…Denso makes really good parts. So I was not surprised about the quality being very good. Denso is OEM for a lot of manufacturers. Especially Honda. Denso is trusted.
CF –
One of the top brands for filtering the oil.

I’ve become obsessed with the online videos where guys cut apart various oil filters to show the guts. I was horrified with the low-quality materials used in the OEM Honda/Acura filters I had been paying a ridiculous premium for. I have been changing my own oil over the past couple of years—not to save money—but because the instant oil change places or even the dealers have stripped out the threads of my oil pan ($$$) or put in the cheapest filters and oil they can get away with. I’ve tried about a dozen higher-end filters and the Denso is so superior. You can actually see the heavy-duty coil spring when you peer into it along with true vents in the inside tube. Thick and weighs way more than most. I can’t believe I’ve paid so much for other filters. I now pair this filter with whatever Dexos-approved 0w20 synthetic oil is on sale and feel really good about the combination I’ve landed on. I rarely go past 5-6000 miles between changes so I cannot attest to the longevity.

After watching numerous YouTube reviews, it became clear that these filters offer quality and outperform cheap alternatives and even OEM filters. Another plus is that they are cheaper!
