Great price for a GL1800 starter since OEM is $750. Glad I read a review about someone having problem on instalation and had to reuse old O-ring, had same issue and remembered reading about it, you can see a significant difference in size. Reused old one and slid right in. Cranks right up. Really happy, time will tell it’s reliability.

I was Leary of the quality, but it hasn’t failed me. Even pulls hard using it for reverse. And at 1/6th the cost of OEM! I do advise to also order and replace the starter solenoid too. (It’s located behind the left side cover)

I was nervous to order bike starter on line. Installed, bike started, I’m a happy guy!

Even though it worked very well time will tell. The only issue was the O-ring it was too thick I pushed and turned the starter just couldn’t get it to go in. I pulled the OEM one off the old starter quite a bit of difference installed it on the DB starter and it went right in. If your contemplating this job it is not for the faint of heart not terrible but very time-consuming. The bottom bolt was the hardest part but doable.
