Fit just like the original starter motor. Replacing the starter motor does require some disassembly of the lawn mower. Just remember all of the hardware on the Honda mower is all metric. If you don’t have metric sockets and wrenches this project is a good excuse to buy tools. 🙂

Put this on an elderly neighbours lawnmower to replace his burnt out one and now he can mow his lawn again

This was an updated replacement for my mower B&S engine. When it arrived the plastic drive gear had what looked like a molding error where 3 consecutive gear teeth were deformed. Overall they were only a little smaller so I decided to try it and it initially worked but you could hear a little ticking. Worked strong for a few times but there was suddenly a catastrophic cascade failure where apparently the deformed teeth let go and all of them got damaged.
Despite the supposed 1 year warranty advertised DB Electrical refused to cover saying it was a “Prime” buy.
I asked if they could just send me the drive gear and they also refused. It would have been an easy fix.
