works as required

there may or may not be small lettering stating that this is for a dual system…but if you miss the fine print, it’ll certainly waste a lot of your time. otherwise the alternator looked good.

Hard to change and no good out of box. I didn’t get the alternator checked before install like I should have.

The unit they sent did not fit my 08 F350 6.4 Powerstroke. Wiring connector plug and bolt spacing were wrong.

Seems to be working from my personal volt meter. But my charge light is still on for some reason.

I haven’t purchased this alternator but I have seen more than enough negative comments and one star reviews to try and help both the customers and the seller. This alternator is for the 2008-2010 Ford super duty with the 6.4 power stroke WITH DUAL ALTERNATOR SETUP. THIS IS THE UPPER ALTERNATOR IN THE DUAL ALTERNATOR SETUP. If you have the single alternator setup this is not the alternator you are looking for. If you are looking for the lower alternator in the dual alternator setup, this is not the alternator you looking for. One dead giveaway if you are looking at the right alternator is that this one has the positive terminal post coming out of the side. All the other alternators have the post coming out of the back. I hope this helps a few people.

Beefy exact fit as OEM. I like it.

Thank you amazon, it showed up at my doorstep undamaged and exactly as advertised, but with a “problem!” It is identical to the genuine one as picture advertised and works fine to, but it illuminates the battery fault lamp on dash panel and gives me a code P163A. Clear it and keeps coming back on! After experiencing this issue, I researched the web and multiple reports of this problem using aftermarket and problem Some say it can be corrected by bringing your truck to dealer and having them do something like computer flash etc and some put genuine replacement back on and some live with the issue. The jury is still out on my decision, but if I had to do this now knowing, I would probably replace with a genuine part or have it re-built. It all boils down to $$$$$$$ and living with a fault lamp on!

Discovered on arrival the connectors were wrong. Hope this helps the next guy.
