I gave this one star because despite saying so in the description it did not fit my 2003 Crown Vic Police Interception, front lower mounting holes were spaced opposite of my alternator. Was well packaged with test report included and seems solidly built. Pretty disappointed after waiting almost a week for it to arrive am now going to go to a brick and mortar auto part store which I should have done last week and now I not only have to ship it back but pay for it as well. Lesson learned, cheaper can be more expensive.
Wasn’t 100% sure about the fit, look or feel before I got it, but now… I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to ANY & EVERYONE that is looking for a nice, clean, rugged, sporty case for their Apple Watch!!! –
It did not fit on my 2005 Mercury Marquis. This alternator has a white D shaped connector, which is oval on the inside and a stamped black steel back cover. The connector on my alternator is oval on the outside and recessed into the back of the alternator. The plug on my car will definitely not fit this alternator. The alternator mounts up on the bottom bolts, but the top brace will not fit this alternator. Also, my cars alternator has a RED power cable post. This alternator has a black power post. There are at least 3 different alternators used on the 2005 Mercury Marquis, this is the 130 amp, there is a 135 amp which is apparently what fits my car, and a near 200 amp alternator likely used in police cars. limosines, etc.
Further info: This alternator with the black steel back cover is a Ford 4G style alternator. My car has a 6G large case style alternator. So that is the difference.

Just what the car Doctor Ordered! Old one quit on me mans this was cheaper, better and faster to get than any local places in my area. All the places I called could only offer me a Refurbished one and to top that off, for MORE money…?

These alternators past about a year. I have bought and returned 2 of them but lasting a year and this last one I got has lasted a little over a year now and now it’s dead too. Extremely disappointing

Worked well at first. Then I noticed while at a stop light my voltages dipped with my AC on. When I turned off my AC it went back to normal. I took my car home and tested it with a friend and we noticed with my AC on my voltages went to 12.8. We suspect there’s something wrong with the voltage regulator that’s inside this alternator. I expressed my concern with the seller, but never got a response.

This alternator fits and works great on our 2003 Grand Marquis, however there is another alternator from this same company that’s listed as fitting but the connections are different. You can tell the difference between the two types by their orientation, mine face straight up where as the other style is at an angle.

I have a 2004 Lincoln Town Car and had to replace my original factory alternator about 7 months ago as the internal bearing was begin to chirp and whine and the voltage regulator was failing and set a code. So I decided to go with Motorcraft to maintain factory performance.
Unfortunately, not only did the remanufactured Motorcraft alternator seem to have a barely perceptible bearing chirp as soon as I got it, within six months, I was once again seeing unusually low resting battery voltage and low running voltage. Then my suspicions were confirmed when I once again read a code for the voltage regulator. I was pretty upset to say the least. I had spent 300 dollars on a Ford factory part, looking for Ford factory quality, only to be sorely disssapointed. So I did something which in my entire ownership I have rarely done, except for the most mundane of parts, I looked into aftermarket alternatives.
That’s when I found this DB Electrical alternator. The price was so good it almost scared me off. I’ve always followed the rule of “Nothing good is cheap.” But figuring I had nothing to lose, and with reviews appearing genuine and positive, I decided to take a chance.
And am I glad I did. I received the althernator and was impressed with fit and finish when I removed it from the box and even more so when i sqw a clear test form showing that this unit had been tested. This alternator has been quieter, smoother and better performing from day one, than my remanufactured Motorcraft unit ever was. I went from a sad resting voltage of 11.8V to a healthy 12.6. And I went from a barely functional running voltage of 13.2 to a healthy range between 13.8 and 14.2.
In conclusion. This is most definitely worth the 95 dollars and is better than the Motorcraft remanufactured units and certainly anything you could get in an auto parts store.

I was just going to rebuild my alternator but time wasn’t on my side. So I searched and read several reviews and was convinced that it would do the job. Install on my Lincoln Town Car was a breeze. I noticed right away that it was doing its job. Now, just recently I have heard what sounds like a beating that wasn’t there before. I’m going to change it out with the old one to see if the new one is needing to be exchanged. I’ll post and update on what I find. Other than that the product is great.
