It just did not play well. Causing intermittent dash gauge fluctuations and even going to over charge mode. Amazon took back and credited me quickly

I went online to purchase an alternator. Amazon makes it easy considering you can add your vehicle and it finds parts for that specific vehicle. I looked around for 10 minutes and found one that was at $115. I pulled the trigger and said, let’s do it, it came the next day early afternoon. It was a direct Bolt in. Took me less than 30 minutes. The positive wire connector on my interceptor was a little bit bigger and I had to trim it so that it can fit the new alternator, besides that easy Peezy.

This alternator declares itself to be new. Not reconditioned. Not rebuilt. New. Rebuilds and reconditioned last longer than 3 years. Very disappointing. Worse, with the car laid up i am buying new locally and done. To contact the manufacturer as Amazon declares on the eve of Memorial Day weekend eve (Wednesday night before the holiday) and lose the car through the weekend is insanity.
Be advised. Proceed at your own peril.

After looking at DYI auto sales, shocked @prices, then shocked how reasonable A was, I bought alternator. Very easy to install (65 F), had to jump battery, car started right up, that was about a week ago. Very happy w/purchase, will def buy from this seller again. Very fast shipping too!

Alternator fits correctly and worked, battery is charging and have not had any issues, item looks new and does not require returning core, the price for an alternator in the local autoparts stores ranged in the order of $145 to $191. Used on Mercury Grand Marquis 2006, it takes about 30 minutes to replace.
