It was perfect for my boat. 2001 Malibu Wakesetter VLX. Wish it had come with bolts. But i guess they cant as they fit in a variety of vehicles.

Doesn’t fit at the Hinge point, too wide and the hinge pin hole is too small.
I used a file to file the Alternator hinge point boss down on both ends, used hit and miss method a few times and bored out the hinge hole. However, it is good it was not too small and the hole too big!
Put it in My Boat. Haven’t tried it out yet, It’s raining
I need the wire plug to plug into the back of the Alternator.

Great brand new alternator at 1\3rd the price of a parts store.
I liked the test sheet being included.
I also tested it once on the boat. It’s a 70amp alternator that put out 97amps via a fluke clamp amp meter.

Exact model for Indmar 325……. BUT……. was a hair longer in the foot fitting so didn’t fit immediately. i used a caliper to determine that it was longer by 2mm and not just my imagination. This meant it was bigger than the last 2 i had bought as exact fit. After 1/2 hour of sanding / filing both the mounts and the alternator foot, it could be tapped into place but i lost the e-coating on that area, so it will rust now. After fitting, all connections were the same, it ran fine and charged as expected.

Alternator worked for about a month but was not suited for marine use. The boat’s V6 uses this type of alternator but it could not withstand the salty environment. There were crustations developing on the power terminals and housing. The engine compartment is enclosed and covered.
