Amazon Customer –
This coil was just what I needed for my Briggs and Stratton 10HP engine on my 5600 watt generator. Fired up on the first pull and had a strong spark, even when turning the motor by hand while installing and testing.
There was a comment about this coil having a straight lead on the wire and causing issues. If you push this lead through the boot, you can bend the end of the lead to match the angle of your boot (this is how the factory one was set up).

excelente refaccion si fue compatible a la que buscava y el motor y trabaja muy bien

Bought this coil to repair our mower after a mouse chewed the spark plug wire.
Good Value replacement.

Installed on my John Deere D102. Works perfectly, only thing is you have to extend the wire (I believe it’s a safety switch) for it to reach.

Fit and worked as it should on my early 90s craftsman lt 4000 12.5 Hp briggs and stratton. Doesn’t come with the spark plug boot so save your old one

Make sure the kill wire is not shorted to ground. Spin the flywheel by hand with the spark plug removed and connected to plug wire. Ground sparkplug threads to engine fins. You should see a spark while spinning flywheel by hand. Make sure spark plug is good or new.

I have bought 4 coils from different manufactures, and they go bad within 48 hours of use. They were all replacement coils that did not resemble the one I removed. The sale charts all gave my engine # 31P777 as a compatible fit. I decided to pay more and get one that resembled the one I removed. This company advertised a coil that looked like the one I removed but sent one that resembled the replacement ones that are failing. I will try this one but cannot tolerate the switcheroo.
