Replaced new style nozzles with these and gas cans are easy to use again

We broke our gas cap and needed something quick. These arrived fast and fit both our gas and diesel cans perfectly. Also I really appreciate the flex in these as it makes putting gas in the tractor MUCH easier than the one that came with the gas can. Having some additional as spares is nice to have.
Here’s my rating scale for products:
1 Star: Do not buy. This item has serious flaws. I would never under any circumstances use again.
2 Stars: Do not buy. Its usable at best, but you could easily find something better.
3 Stars: Just ok. Buy if you can’t find an alternative. Some issues need to be addressed.
4 Stars: Recommend purchase. This item met my expectations.

These parts got my old gas cans back in service.
Addressed 2 of 3 key issues. One can was missing the main cap and the other had no seal. Neither can had nozzles which made refilling messy.
The nozzle inverts and the nozzle cap doubles as a can cap for transit and storage.
Unfortunately the vent cap threads are smaller than the can threads. If needed, the holes in the cans can be drilled out with the included drill bit and the included press-fit vent caps can be installed. I opted to repair the one damaged original cap and reuse both.
As a bonus, since these were sold as a 3-pack, I’ll have a spare for future use if needed.
Less expensive to repair these old cans than purchasing new ones. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase.

Everyone knows from experience that you need to actuate the terrible CARB nozzles while the can is still upright to vent any pressure before pouring or it will emit a blast of gasoline that will spray everywhere before dispensing in a slow dribble while you awkwardly try to maintain a steady pose holding 40lb of liquid energy. These nozzles solve those issues. The flexible nozzle and manual vent put you back in control of the fueling process and dispense the fuel at full flow. They also seal well so you are protecting the environment. The cap threads matched my fuel can perfectly and they don’t have the ridiculous ratchet tab that does nothing but irritate you when it’s time to fill the can. The kit comes with a 10mm drill bit to install the pop-in vent – don’t forget to use the rubber seal. It also comes with screw caps in case your can has the molded threaded vent. Don’t confuse those with the larger threaded cap for the flexible spout. I installed the pop-in vent just to the side of the mold parting line to give it smoother sealing surfaces. The rubber seal won’t work well spanning that parting line. I’ve purchased similar kits locally but only got 1 or 2 for the price of this kit that includes 5 spouts. Nice value.

Reivew for Cyrico Gas Can Replacement Nozzles.
I’m guessing I’m not the only person frustrated by the safety nozzle on modern gas cans: I’m sure they are in some ways ‘safe’, but they’re also almost impossible to get into a position where you can actually get the gas in to whatever you’re trying to gas up.
These ‘old school’ nozzles take care of that issue, and I guess I’ll just have to remember not to do any of the stupid things the safety nozzles are supposed to help prevent, whatever that is!
My only complaint: these have no debris filter in the base of the nozzle. With that minor addition, I wouldn’t hesitate to rate these at 5 stars.

This has been a long time in the making… During our semi-recent spat with a few hurricane’s, my mom asked me to come help her file the generator I lent her… I thought she was joking. Then when tried to use her gas can I understood! That was a HORRIBLE experience!! We both struggled to get the vented spout to trigger and let the gas flow.
Fast forward a few month, I found these gas can spout fixes. I ordered them and I fixed my gas can that was mostly functional, but not nearly as good as my previous gas cans where. I realized mine didn’t have an air vent either, but my flow tube did not have the same release valve hers did.
It took her a couple more months to get me her gas can, but now I fixed her too and I did do by painstakingly draining her gas can into mine. BUT putting her gas back (after I fixed her gas can) was extremely easy because my gas can was fixed too.
We both love having gas cans that work!!! Like gas can’s used to be!!!
So the only concern I wanted to bring up, there isn’t much of a true installation guide. PLEASE make sure you empty your gas can first, let it air dry. Of the two gas cans I fixed, one of them ended up with plastic shavings inside the gas can. If it was not empty and dry that could have ended up in whatever I put the gas into. The instructions should have made that statement, regardless of how commonsense it may seem. I also chose to re-use the ‘nut’ from the original cans so that they used the locking features of the original can.
I am sure there have been some safety reasons manufacturers have gone to the newer ventless cans with vented spouts, but for those of us who are getting older, using the newer gas cans can be extremely frustrating and this solves that. JUST remember whatever safety features the newer gas cans offer, this removes them, but makes the gas can more functional!!
