I’m using this to rust proof my 95 F150 and my 21 Bronco

This product appears, feels and smells like a superior product to anything I Have used in the last five years.
I live by the Canadian border where salt is a truck killer and so impressed with the appearance and tactile sense fo the product was my garageman he asked me to get five gallons for his other customers.
He thought it seemed far superiro to the lanolin based rust inhibitors he had used in the past.

Just got this, prepping for application this week. Tested out on a spare trailer hitch, just a small area. What I know so far:
Applies like a thin gel, the gel slowly evaporated and mostly disappeared leaving the oil behind. Where it was laid on thick, there’s still gel there. The oil spread and crept out as it should, making a thin film. Has a pleasant smell.
Will update the review after full application and as time goes by, with how it protected my truck. Stay tuned.
Sprayed truck Dec 11, 2019.
I used this gun for application:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QR18BT7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Gun was $35, worked just fine. I used the included clear hose, with the multi-directional tip on the end of the hose to get inside all the framerails and enclosed spaces, then just pulled the tip off the end of the hose to shoot the rest of the exposed frame and undercarriage parts. I never used the gun without the hose on it, was easier to hold gun in one hand keeping it level, and use the hose to direct the spray where I wanted. As you can see, I did this at home in my garage, with truck on 4 jackstands as high as I could get it, rolled around underneath on a creeper, it’s wintertime below zero temp so can’t do outside. I would recommend outdoors if possible, a little overspray got on the floor. Good thing about being “no-drip” is that it wasn’t too bad, the stuff mostly stuck on where I sprayed.
I was concerned with overspray getting onto the brakes, so I wrapped them with garbage bags first. I’ve seen other videos where they spray under a car and don’t seem too worried about the brakes. If anyone else has some firsthand experience with this let me know, maybe the oil just burns off after hard braking and doesn’t cause problems?
1-10-20, still not “dry” and probably never will. The first few days, I could smell the “cherry flavored” smell of the barrier bond when truck warmed up, but it’s not bad. Some spray got on the exhaust, and I did the engine oilpan and some of the engine sides, avoiding the belts and pulleys up front. Haven’t been on dusty roads yet, everything frozen snow and ice. I can wipe my fingers on the frame and feels wet and oily. It makes the entire underside look shiny and gloss black now, will see what dust does later. Feeling pretty good about the protection so far.
Update 12-24-23: Finally used up my first order, bought another gallon. Been using this on everything, spray tractor, brush hog, dump trailer, other outdoor equipment for winter storage. Still like the product, truck still rust-free! It does need a re-spray on the most exposed parts of the frame and axles as driving through tall grass wipes the low-hanging bits clean. But re-spray is so easy, doesn’t bother me at all, just blast a bunch under there with the extension hose. Price went up, over double, was 20/ gal at first. 🤨 so that’s not so nice.

Bought a new truck, sprayed this on let dry for a week, took it out in the rain and it wore right off from water spray

I might be doing something wrong, but I wanted to coat some angle iron with the Barrier Bond product, however it did allow light rusting after the rain came. That happened about a week after putting the product on the angle iron that I had cleaned with my 4 ½ inch grinder using a paint remover brush to remove the mill scale and then coat it with the product. The product stays kinda wet like paint that hasn’t dried yet, it reminds me of light grease actually.

Will update once it has been on for a while. Used on the bottom of my mower deck. Should be a good test

I have a 2017 Ram 1500 that ive oil sprayed since ive had it. I used Corrosion Free Rust Free 3000. Unfortunately the cost has gone up to $75 a gallon so I was looking for a cheaper alternative. I found this, it is $40 a gallon. Reminds me so much of corrosion free. It is a thick gel that smells like cherries. It stays on and doesnt drip off! I live in Ohio we will see how durable it is but im fairly confident it will do just fine. Took me about 3/4 of a gallon to do my truck.
Update: (04/23/2025) after a whole winter season it held up great and there is alot of it that is still thick and clinging to my underbody! I gave it 5 stars!
