This product was advertised to fit on my Lincoln MKC. The wiring instructions that came with the product do not match my car’s wiring and the 800 tech service was not able to provide any cross reference assistance.

So its hard to find accessories for a Lincoln vehicle cause as my grandson puts it, “who puts a bicycle rack on a luxury vehicle?” Well I do; this is an exact fit for my 2019 Lincoln MKC (Curt 56262) with fair instructions. Wired right into the vehicle harness with one precaution. The right side of the vehicle has three color coded wires of the same color, so I had to test ($2.74 test light) each line to determine which one was the turn signal wire. Once Identified it was a breeze. Used the controller and harness to add auxilaiary lights (Curt 53201) to the back of my bicycle rack for additional lighting, brake, and turn signal indication as my bicycles partially block the vehicle lights. As a bonus I now have wiring if I should choose to tow a trailer or similar device already wired to the car.

I was dreading having to run a power wire from the rear of our 18 MKC to the front battery. After watching a YT video I found out there is a power terminal and fuse box under the passenger side panel in the rear trunk. This saved so much time. Full installation took about 30 minutes. Some of the connectors supplied were poor quality so I used my own better ones.

It is a good product, however I gave it only three stars because they gave me a fuse, but they didn’t include the fuse holder. So I have to go up to the auto parts store and purchase a fuse holder to install on the hot lead wire. The instructions were general and not specific to my vehicle, but YouTube had instructions were a lot better and specific to my vehicle. I would buy the product again.

Trailer wiring harness kit was a good product, but like one of the other reviewer said on the The right side they are three wires that are purple and pink that connects to the green wire to try to save you guys some time it’s going to be the thickest of the three that you wanna splice into. On the left side there are I believe two gray with browns it’s one of the two that’s the only problem with this kit it does not let you know there’s more than one color of the ones you need to splice into apart from that the kit works great !

Received as and when expected. Installed fine after determining which wires in the harness were the correct ones, -many small wires close in colors-. I spent some time with a non-contact low voltage detector to double check this before clamping the clips on. This one didn’t tap into wires near, and clearly going to the bulbs, as the ones I have done in the past. As noted in the instruction, expect to run a hot wire to the battery from the rear of the vehicle.
