Our club car would start better when cold but after it warmed up usually required 10-15 (just clicking) attempts before it would turn over. After installing this new solenoid, it starts on the first attempt. I didn’t open the old one but it seems likely we had corroded contacts, burnt contacts, or both. Judging by the physical condition (extreme corrosion) of the bottom of the old one, it’s was due for replacement. Biggest problem was getting the old mounting screws out. I ended up drilling the heads off, drilling new pilot holes, and replacing them with Phillips stainless no. 14 3/4 inch sheet metal screws. Seems firm enough. If you’re not comfortable with that, hire someone to install.
