I ordered this to test out since it was free. I figured I would see how it compares to the other clay bar alternatives. I had been using clay bars from one of the big name companies that sells car washes and waxes at the auto parts store. Recently those clay bars that came with the maroon storage boxes have become impossible to find since it appears they have stoped making them. I had used the new clay bar alternative from the same company. This clay bar towel seemed like a great alternative to that since it is a much larger towel vs a wax applicator pad with small circle of material meant to replace a clay bar. I used this with quick detailer and divided the front bumper into thirds of the bumper of my jeep. I used the old traditional clay bar I had. One third was done with the synthetic clay bar I already had and this product was used for the remainder. This was equal to the traditional clay bar and better than the other synthetic clay. I found that while using this it would leave streaks like traditional clay if it did not have enough liquid to lubricate it. I was very happy with how similarly it removed surface contaminants from the paint. The big advantage to this over traditional clay is that its easy to clean up and seems like it should last longer. Because of how nasty the jeep was I used this on the rest of the jeep. The clay towel looked the same after using it as it did when I started. I have done a couple more vehicles with it and it still oks new. It’s going to require more use before I can say for certain but the price may actually be a good value in comparison to traditional clay since it is holding up so well. I was happy with how well I was able to polish my jeep after removing contaminants from the paint.

This is such an amazing product research clay bar a car and you will see how this great product helps to expedite the process and when needed this can be kept stored and taken out for a quick cleaning and your are done with only just the one step.

This Clay towel is a good / fast semi-alternative solution to a good old fashioned clay bar.
It is well made and does remove some/most of the debris that accumulates on your car surface.
You need to make sure it is very well soaped up……………if not you may potentially scratch your paint. This did not happen to me but I can imagine how it may if it is not lubricated enough. So make sure you lubricate and soap this well and often. As is articulated on the Warning label. You also need to make sure you are working in normal weather conditions with a normal surface temperature. Anything too extreme (hot or cold) may adversely impact the performance of this towel and ultimately your car finish.
For me………..there is no real substitute to a good old fashioned clay bar and some work. It is still (in my opinion) the best way to get rid of impurities from a car surface. Yes, yes……you have to put in some elbow grease and work it and keep changing the layer of the clay bar…………but the outcome is worth it. These new clay gadgets and towels are ok, but not the real thing.

I used this on a 2 year old car that had never been clayed before. The car was very sandpapery. After using this towel, it’s 90% better in most places. Some areas were really bad, and this towel could not lift out all of the contamination. I guess it’s a bit of a medium-light duty clay.
It will definitely last you many sessions, and it’s a decent price.

Worked great. It covers more surface area than a standard 2-inch clay bar and is just as effective. Gets the job done in half the time. I highly recommend this towel.

More straight forward than a clay bar and lasts a long time. Just have a good lubricant so that it can slide over the areas that need to be decontaminated and the car gets nice and smooth.
If clay baring makes you nervous, get this!

This towel is pretty cool! It worked pretty well and was much faster and easier than using a standard clay bar and lubricant. I don’t think it works quite as well as the actual clay bars for removing every bit of contaminant from the paint, but it definitely left my car with a much smoother finish than with washing alone, and saved a lot of time. I washed and dried my car, sprayed lubricant on the car and went over with this towel in large sections, dried with a clean towel, then moved on to a new section.
