I like the metal jacket. Worked perfectly on my model 718 grasshopper mower for a quarter of the price of OEM. Easy to trim to exact length.

Works great in the MGB but had to be modified. Had to cut about 15 inches of the rolled metal protection off the unit. This unit has a single wire which is super. Very easy to work with and connect. The old unit had a split wire and was very difficult to attach. I expect it to last a long time. Super value for the price.
