This charger is almost perfect. The magnet holds your phone wry securely if you have the correct phone case. I have had other chargers that connect tot he vent clip but seems flimsy. This charger ratchets down tight to the vent and stays in place. The only complaint I would have, which is a big one, is the background light that goes around the edge of the charger can not be turned off. When your phone is not connected to the charger, the light is very bright and very distracting at night time. You can of course unplug it, it I find that to be a hassle. There is no button or way to disable the light. I had to put a pair of pantyhose over the charger to dim the light down so it was not blinding at night. If the background light was able to be disabled this would be a perfect charger.

I was worried about the strength of the magnet before I ordered, especially as this was one of the cheaper options, but there’s no question it’s more than strong enough for any vehicle. I’ve tested it by shaking it vigorously (more than any car would be able to) and it didn’t budge. Very happy with it.
