Centric rotors are amongst the best daily drivers rotors you can get, emphasis on the daily driver, these are not for the track.
The corrosion coating is pretty good for those of us living in an area that gets heavily salted in the winter. But, what really makes these rotors a step above almost all others in this segment is the cross hatching on the rotor face.
The cross hatching does several things. It gives the pad a little more bite on the rotor, improving stopping power. It also wears the pads more evenly, and nearly eliminates any squealing. But, the most important aspect is that the cross hatching prevents grooving in the rotor, reducing warping, vibration, and prolonging the life of the rotor. You don’t realize the importance of this cross hatching until you have had it, then try to go back to a smooth rotor. I can also say that the cross hatching lasts. I did a brake job on my Camry with Centric rotors months ago and the cross hatching is still there.

Rotor seems nice – put on Honda Odyssey. I wanted a rotor that had all parts painted except for the area where the brake pads touch. The picture only showed the outside which is painted and there was no information on the inner side, but I purchased anyway as I was able to get them fairly fast & they were reasonably priced.
I attached a picture showing both inside & outside of rotor. As you can see, the inside is not painted so it is likely to rust & possibly fuse to the hub which is then difficult to remove. For the unpainted inside, I just put some anti-seize lube where the rotor touches the hub.
But overall the rotors seems well made. I cleaned braking surfaces with break cleaner. Rotors seem well balanced & smooth while driving, even at high speeds & stop coming off highway ramp to a stop (e.g. 70mph to 0mph). The minivan is a pretty heavy, and brakes worked well.
I saw rotors that were coated/painted on both sides but they took too long to ship so I tried this instead. Reasonably priced so I’m not totally disappointed. I only needed rear rotors right now since fronts were replaced recently. For front brakes which are vented (and which do most of the work), I definitely want fully coated rotors – where coating is plated even inside vented middle.
I’d say these are just mid-grade rotors.
WARNING & NOTE: The screw holding the rotor to the hub on Japanese cars might “look like” a Phillips head screw, but is actually not! It’s a JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard). You will likely strip it using a Phillips screw driver and then you are in trouble. Get a proper JIS bit to be sure. Look at videos on YouTube on this. If you do your own maintenance on Japanese cars, do yourself a big favor & just get a couple JIS bits or a JIS screw driver.

These centric brakes are a nice alternative to OEM replacement but with on par performance and materials. Installation was straight forward. Clean the disc with brake cleaner prior to installing on your car. They pair great with OEM brake pads and had true straight run out. Not a squeak. I purchased the front rotors with the same brand and premium type and I can say they last and stand the test of time and mileage.

I put these coated Centric rotors all the way around on my wife’s 2010 pilot and used with “Wagner quick stop ceramic pads”. I immediately felt the difference In stopping, especially when in mountains and when towing.
I frequently tow a 2500 lb trailer with no brakes and it made a huge difference. I had one trip from Pittsburgh to Maine with the trailer too. It’s now approaching 3 years and over 30,000 miles later and I could not be happier with the purchase. Braking isn’t quite as good as new, but still very good and no rotor warping AT ALL. I will definitely use both again. The coating holds up very well.
As a side note, make sure to take time to clean and lube all slide points on pads and pins. I just did some service on one wheel so i recleaned and lubed the brakes. The pads were still about 70%.
Update Sept 2020: Now 5 years old with about 60k miles. All still good. No pulsation at all. Just pulled all wheels before my state inspection. Pads are about 25%. Im going to replace them and keep these rotors on after cleaning them up a little. Still NO pulsation at all. I included a pic of these 5 year old rotors. The coating has held up well except on the rotor itself as you’d expect. I’m very impressed with the quality.

Easy installation with great results. No more shaking when braking. The disk looks thick so it should last longer without warping as the OEM one.

Lasted less than two years with highway driving and proper maintenance on pads before needing replacement. I don’t recommend this product.

As a rotor, it does it’s job and is on par with the others. I haven’t experienced any rotor warpage or anything like that. What I expected was better durability of the finish which seems to be on the thin and cheap side. I’m getting some rusting around the areas that were suppose to be coated. For anyone that paid extra to get coated rotors, I would wipe down with alcohol to get rid of any oils and recoat with another couple layers of black or clear coat to extend the durabilty of the original finish in my opinion.
