As a truck owner who recently purchased the CCIYU Door Latch Lock Actuator to address a lock issue on my vehicle, I must say I approached the replacement with a degree of uncertainty regarding its build quality. However, after installing it and using it for a while, I’m pleased to report that the unit is functioning as expected, effectively restoring the functionality of the door lock on my Dodge Ram.
At this initial stage, I can attest that the actuator is doing its job without any noticeable issues. It operates smoothly, locking and unlocking the door reliably, which is crucial for both convenience and security. The installation process wasn’t overly complex, and the actuator fit snugly into place without any major modifications required.
While it’s still early days since the replacement, I’m optimistic about the longevity of this product. I watched a bunch of videos before deciding to tackle this project and they were helpful, but the reality was harder than I expected. I probably didn’t have all of the right tools and definitely didn’t have the technical knowledge so it turned into an all day project. However the end result is a lock that actually springs up and down when the button is pressed. My old lock half the time would not engage when I pressed the remote or even when I pressed the switch on the door. When it did engage it moved in slow motion like a turtle poking its head out. I always worried that it wouldn’t lock and so I treated it like a manual lock when I got out. Now I feel confident again that it is working properly and I can use my remote again.

Installed on a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup. About 2 weeks ago. It’s been working as it should. The old unit was not locking or unlocking. Installation wasn’t too bad, took around 1 hour. Worked the right way, unlocked when the other door unlocked., and locked when the other door did. The last unit I got was opposite of the other door.
The only thing now is how long it will last.
