Very efficient and works just fantastic when it comes to charge a battery nice display and easy to use

I have an old rolling battery charger from Harbor Freight, 2/10/40/200 Amp, 6/12V Automatic Battery Charger with Engine Jump Start. I used it to jumpstart standard 6 and 12 v batteries, it had a built in automatic battery charger. The clamp cables were 6ft and 4AWG, it also had 6 inch casters on it. Well, it has seen better days and its on it’s last leg. The Cat battery charge is easy to use, don’t have to think about anything, just press the button and does the charging. It has a nice led screen that’s easy to see even from the other side of my shop. It’s also light weight (16 pounds) and easy to maneuver around the shop, it’s half the weight of my last charger. Overall, it’s well built charger, light and easy to maneuver and practically does everything for me.

This charger is excellent. Granted you are tethered by a,cord but it is long. We have been using it to charge vehicles, tractors and other equipment. Does the job and does it well. Straightforward to use. The wheels make it mobile. Impressed.

This thing is trash and I love cat products. I have equipment and truck engines. This thing wil not start a mower or motorcycle don’t waste your money i don’t understand y can would even put their name on this

I have relied on an old Craftsman charger for years for basic battery charging and maintenance. It’s simple to use, and small enough that you can just sit it next to the vehicle while it does its thing. The problem is that it only has a 10 amp jump charge setting, which is pretty useless for anything but a small (non-car) battery.

This ‘Cat CBC200EW Professional 40-Amp Rolling Battery Charger’ solves that problem. I was able to use it to jump start my car battery where my smaller charger could not. All that comes at a bit of a price in size: this one will take up much more space in your garage, but it’s worth not having to pull out jumper cables, back up another vehicle, connect them up, sometimes need to rev the engine, etc.

It has all the usual battery charger features: battery charging and battery maintenance, with a display showing volts and battery charge level. IT has a few extra features such as pulse technology to help break up sulfates/recondition the battery and an alternator check, which usually requires a separate load tester. The screen is large and easy to read. The handle is a little on the short side, as most are, requiring you to bend over, but if you’re not going to be moving it a lot that’s not a problem. All metal casing. The clamps are adequate, although not what I’d consider heavy duty. If you don’t need the jump start capability it’s a bit large, but for that use only it’s worth the size ‘cost.’

This is the worst battery charger I have ever owned. If your battery is dead, you need to hook a real battery charger up and get a charge in it so this unit will recognize it as a battery. And it still probably won’t work. Have equipment and buy a CAT charger to charge it? No, because it won’t recognize and charge if it’s a 24v system. Run battery recondition mode on a battery for 24 hours then it will automatically charge it like it says in the book? Nope still won’t charge it. This unit is nothing more than a battery maintainer. Now I have to go spend the money again to buy a real charger. Not what I was expecting from CAT.

    All I know is ,,,,,,,
It only came with a 1 month return window
    But it cost $223.00
So I thought it might have lasted longer
    Than it did.
    I guess I was wrong 😑
i feel like I got DOOPED.
I just didn’t think Amazon would let this happen to me since I am a loyal customer
    and I love Amazon !
Maybe because they are the sellers
Maybe they’ll give me a bigger return window and a credit

I love this. I got it for Father’s day and it has already redone several batteries saving me $$$ it also let me know my alternator was bad which I suspected but this helped me confirm. The only feature I wish it did have was like a battery backup lol which I never do use those but out of 8 different chargers in all price ranges in the last 3 years this is the best!!!!
