Got these for my wife and my mother because they had cheap thin jumper cables. These come in a nice sturdy nylon bag/case and for a couple dollars extra, why not. They also come with a nice wire brush for any corrosion you need to clean off and a pair of gloves. They are quality cables and are plenty long for any situation. The cables they replaced would not jump start my moms vehicle. I have similar cables and they jump start vehicles no problem. I have used my similar cables to even jump start a stalled semi. I have not had an opportunity to try these cables on a stalled semi but I bet with my truck they would work the same in the similar situation. Spend the extra couple dollars on jumper cables and buy some quality cables like these.

Great cables with impressive build quality and a great price. Used them to start my F150 that had been sitting powerless in my driveway since February, in under five minutes. What I like most about the cables are the extended teeth of the terminal clamps, which made connecting them super easy. The length of the cables, carrying case, terminal brush, and handling glove also make the Cartman Booster Cables an incredible value.

I’ve needed to replace my jumper cables for a while now.
I was thinking that I’d just grab a decent set and be happy.
When I saw the Cartman deal I was impressed. 4 gauge, 20′ long, and a case to store them in!
All that for only around $20. I’d had to buy them.
Now that I have them, I haven’t regretted my purchase for a minute.
They are everything they claimed to be. Nice solid gauge, long and sturdy.
The zippered case is a nice bonus and helps keep them in mint condition.
If you’re looking for a set of cables to keep in your vehicle, you want these.
They’ll be able to handle almost any normal roadside issue.

These are copper clad wires, they’re just aluminum strands coated with copper. I don’t like that this isn’t mentioned anywhere but in a few reviews. 4 gauge aluminum cable isn’t as good as copper; copper has 40% more conductivity than aluminum, so these are really comparable to a smaller gauge of actual copper wire. Aluminum also breaks more easily when it’s getting twisted up and thrown around in a trunk year after year. Still though, they’re constructed nicely and the accessories are a nice touch. The upgraded carrying case is actually very nice and the gloves and brush are convenient for an all inclusive buy it put it in the trunk kit.
I have removed 1 star for the lack of defining what “heavy duty gauge” means, I wouldn’t consider clad wiring to be “heavy duty”. Caveat emptor, I suppose, there’s a reason 4 gauge 20ft copper booster cables are normally $40 or more.

Cables were purchased as a gift for son to keep in his new (first) car. We opened them up and tested them as I taught him how to use jumper cables. They look and feel like quality cables. I like the stiff case as it forces you to put the cables back in a certain way and as a result it’s not bulky. The terminal brush and gloves are a nice extra.

I found the cables to be great value for the money. If you don’t have a set in your car, you can’t wrong with these cables. I would encourage any buyers to get the $25 EVA, 20′ version. For $5 more the EVA is a tough fabric, formed case, not unlike a hat box. It neatly stores the cables and keeps the crud off your car. If you were to buy a similar case after the fact, you would easily spend $20 for one. So for $5, it seems like real good value to me.
