Amazon garage says this will go on a 2.3L.
It will not. Reiterating what others have said but I somehow missed, THIS IS NOT FOR A 2007 MAZDA 3 2.3L. It looks identical EXCEPT, the side that going into the transmission is about 1mm smaller in diameter, and this part has 26 splines rather than the 28 the correct part should have. Please do not try to force or hammer this part into your transmission on a 2.3L car. Bad things will happen.

This product appears to be of very high quality, but Amazon garage vehicle checker states this WILL fit a 2007 Mazda 3 2.3L. It most certainly does NOT FIT, you will instead need part 66-8175. I found this our after ordering in March, and finally getting the rusted on parts off the car to enable the installation of this part to find out the in to trans shaft is smaller on this version than the correct part, everything else is identical except a ~1mm difference in shaft diameter which will be hard to notice unless you look closely.
