I liked this drive shaft because the bearing housing was slightly smaller in diameter, making much easier to install. I only hope it lasts longer than 2 years as the previous replacement failed at the boot by leaking grease everywhere.

At some point I guess I should question the durability of these rubber boots – this is my third CV axle for the drivers side on my 2013 Sierra 1500, they only survive a winter or two but ice buildup underneath and in the wheel well area seems to take them out pretty easily.

I put this CV axle on my 2012 GMC Sierra thinking I would rebuild the OEM one while this one was on it. Ended up never rebuilding the OEM one and this one has been going strong for 3 years or more.

Axle seemed good and quality upon inspection and was easy to install and fit correctly. However when I went to change my UCA the CV joint by the differential over extended out of it’s socket and tore the boot and will not go back in. I didnt even use 4wd and it didn’t even have 1000 miles yet. Absolute garbage. Will never buy again and DO NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYBODY DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Boot cracked in 6 month’s and now I have black axle grease all over everything its worthless I should of spent the extra on a ac delco pretty much worthless cause now I’m in same deal I was in before install cause that was the reason why I changed it now another couple hrs for free
