The packaging was well done and they do provide core return. It’s not mentioned but you must replace the high pressure white washer when you put on this pump. The pump I received is very loud. Yes I did everything right including priming the pump which is important. If you purchase this, it is a hard project. It’s in a horrible location and the bolts are almost impossible to get to. I recommend taking your oil filter off and doing and oil change because that will give you a lot more room. Take the fan and fan shroud off before you take off the pump off to allow for plenty of room.

Just a heads up, this part is a massive pain in the butt to change out, which is Ford’s engineers fault, not Cardones. The part always whined a bit, which the old one did too, but it went out after 4 months. Very annoying because of how much work it is to change out. I ended up buying the same reman pump again, with a 3 year protection plan, and I just installed it, hopefully it’ll last longer this time. It too whines a bit.
