Installed on an old Craftsman mower with a 25 hp twin cylinder. Works just fine after 4 months.

This aftermarket coil has a primary transformer resistance of 200 ohms compared to the OEM coil’s 1000 ohms. Because this coils resistance is much lower, the oem coil considers it a ground (shut off engine) signal and youll be running on one cylinder. So replace both and everything will be perfect.

This is an exact replacement for the Kohler Pro 23HP engine on Sears GT3000 garden tractors. Mine is a 2001 model. It had a dead cylinder. Put this new coil on and it’s back to running on both cylinders. This coil has the correct 90 degree spark plug boot. I use a business card to set the gap. Great price and fast delivery. Removing the top cover on the Kohler Pro is not as bad as on some other models. Just a few accessories to remove first. Don’t need to disassemble any throttle linkages. Pictures show the orientation of the coil wires for the two sides.
