I can’t help but laugh at using something like this lol I don’t use something like this everyday but if you’re planning on parking in a sketchy neighborhood, not going to lie that red light gives me a little peace of mind. In some ways I did question whether it would actually put more attention to my vehicle but I think the benefits are more. The light is quite bright as well and charges quickly.

These turned out to be a did. They worked great the first month but after that they would not las more than a couple hours. One month later and they don’t work at all even after I pout them in to full sun.

It works. The solar recharge does just fine. It just isn’t that bright for some reason. Most areas aren’t pitch black, so anybody glancing wouldn’t even see the light.

I charged one of the lights (it’s a 2 pack) with a regular USB-C charger, and then put one in my vehicle. At nightfall, I flipped the switch on, set it on my dashboard, and the single LED emitter blinked about every 4-5 seconds very brightly. I’ve left it switched-on on the dashboard in the sun for a few days, and it must have a photo sensor, as it only blinks once it senses darkness, and does not blink during the day in daylight. The little solar panel is keeping it charged, and I’ve not charged it at all since the initial charge I gave it on day one. And if I don’t want it on, I just switch it off. It does it’s job as a visual theft deterrent quite effectively, as it can be seen from quite a distance, causing a thief to see it from afar, and not approach your vehicle because it looks like an alarm is set.

Works better than expected for its price. This fake alarm blinking LED is a great deterrent as thieves will see this and then will move on to an easier target. Mine did not come with any instructions. I charged it overnight and it has been blinking steadily for one week at a blinking rate of one flash every 4.3 seconds as timed with a stopwatch. The brightness of the LED flash is very visible at night but it has a short duration to maximize battery life. I wish the “on time” duration of the LED was longer and the frequency of flash was a little faster like 1 blink per second or two like a real alarm but drains batteries faster. I haven’t tested the solar charging yet but I park in the sun all day so it shouldn’t be an issue. There are no user replaceable batteries but at this price point, it’s a disposable item. They’re also great for putting in rental cars when traveling or when using someone else’s car. Good deterrent for peace of mind and is definitely worth the price of a hamburger because it can save hundreds in repair costs for broken windows/locks and stolen valuables.
