Can verify fuse to the dlc is good and will actually save memory since it has a display. Then just turn on saver and do the work.

I used this while changing my truck battery. It saved all my radio and other settings. Can’t beat that. I would have spent months trying to get my favorites songs back on Sirius radio without this device.

Followed instructions and hooked it up. Removed vehicle battery, installed new one. I disconnected the memory saver and started the car. All the previous settings came back, after the car started. Saved a bunch of money not having to take the vehicle to the dealship for battery replacement.

This is a very useful tool for anyone who works on cars. It’s simple to use, hook it up to a spare 12V battery, verify the voltage on the OBD plug display, and plug it into the OBD port on your car. Then you can disconnect your batter without losing all your settings.
I would have given this 5 stars but the instructions are terrible. They are barely legible, much less useful. In one section they are suggesting doing something wrong will cause a fire but I cannot figure out what that something wrong would be. So I took a star off.

Worked exactly as it should. I followed all the instructions and it saved all radio and vehicle settings when I replaced the battery on my vehicle. Found the led lights helpful to confirm everything was connected correctly. Saved me 30 minutes of resetting everything, worth every dollar.

My vehicle is a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. I read somewhere that when replacing the car battery, as long as you do it fairly quickly, you don’t need to keep the car’s computers supplied with voltage. Since there was no specific definition on what fairly quickly meant – I decided to order this handy little gadget and not take a chance. I had a spare 12V battery around – so it was easy to use. Worked perfectly – all my radio, and car user settings preserved (so many in menu!). Well worth it.
