This car jump starter adapter has been a handy addition to my emergency kit. The build quality is solid, and the 11AWG jump kit cable feels durable and well-insulated. At 1.2 feet, the cable is short but sufficient for quick and safe connections.

This adapter works well for small compact cars, providing enough power to jump-start a dead battery efficiently. It’s easy to use—just connect it to a compatible Makita battery, attach the clamps to the car battery, and start the engine. However, it’s important to note that this isn’t designed for larger vehicles with higher power demands.

Overall, this is a great product for those who already own Makita 18V batteries and want a compact, portable jump-starting solution. It’s a reliable backup for emergencies and a good value for the price.

The current is only 30 amps. It can’t start any vehicle at all. False advertising. It has been back

This is so convenient. The very batteries that you use for your tools can be your battery source to jump start your car.
This is great for construction sites, or for a handyman, which is why I ordered this for my hubby.

He has Milwaukee tools and quite a few batteries so there’s always one around to use with this.
    Such a good idea!

We have a Milwaukee 3/8-inch drive 18V cordless impact that we use in the shop while working on our micro sprint race car. We also have a 18V compatible that lives in our race trailer, along with an LED work light that uses the same 18V batteries. When I saw this jump starter that use the Milwaukee 18V battery system, I decided to order them from Amazon.

Our micro sprint is powered by a 600cc motorcycle engine and has a battery on board to power the self-starter and ignition system. So having the ability to jump start the race car in the event of a battery problem made these jumper cables attractive to me.

These cables seem to be well made. They are made from 11 AWG wire. The insulation is made from some sort of silicone material making them flexible. The end clamps appear to be copper and are well insulated. At about 14 inches long to the end of the clamps, they are pretty short but should be okay considering that the whole assembly including the Milwaukee battery is pretty compact.

The clamps are relatively small for their intended purpose. They should be okay for my use, specifically on a motorcycle size battery where the terminals are relatively small. However, on a full-sized battery in a car, SUV, or truck it may be difficult to get them connected.

I did have a concern about the output voltage at the clamps. The Milwaukee batteries are 18 volt while nearly all automotive and motorcycle electrical systems are 12 volt. With most of these vehicles using a variety of sophisticated electronic systems, including PCMs or ECUs. I don’t know if hooking up an 18-volt battery will damage these components. However, it appears that there must be some sort of voltage reduction/regulation built into this jump starter. I tried it out on a small battery from an ATV. As you can see from the accompanying video, the voltage on the battery was low, only about 9.7 volts. When I connected the jump starter, the voltage went to about 13.5 volts, which is what you would expect from a normally functioning electrical system in a motorcycle. When I disconnected the cable from the ATV battery, the jump starter voltage was about 13.4 volts. So, even though there is nothing specifically in the Amazon description about this, there must be some circuitry in the jump starter to reduce the Milwaukee battery voltage from 18 volts to somewhere in the 13-volt range. The description does say “This is designed to handle a 12V voltage range”.

So, it looks like that this jump starter will get the job done safely, I just hope I never need to use it.

Great idea. Works well and I had a bunch of Dewalt batteries anyway.

As a DeWalt tool user, I’ve got a collection of 20V MAX batteries, and this jump starter adapter is a brilliant idea. It’s like turning my power tool batteries into a roadside rescue kit! It’s incredibly convenient to use, especially if you already have those batteries on hand. I was skeptical at first, but it jumped my truck with ease. It’s like having a portable power plant in my toolbox. The 11AWG cables feel sturdy and well-made, and the adapter is compact and easy to store. If you’re a DeWalt battery owner and want a convenient jump-starting solution, this adapter is a must-have.

I use Milwaukee tools, so I always have a few M18 batteries charged and ready, especially when we’re out beach camping with the vacuum and inflator. I picked up this jump starter adapter as a backup in case one of us—or one of the volunteers—ends up with a dead battery. I’ve used it eight times so far. Five times, it worked without much hassle. The other three took some coaxing—multiple attempts—but in the end, the engines turned over.

A couple of things I’ve learned: it works best with a battery that’s more than half charged. Technically, M18s put out steady voltage until they’re empty, but this isn’t a Milwaukee-made device, and you can tell it behaves a little differently under load. That’s not a deal breaker for me, just something to keep in mind. For something that doesn’t take up much space and runs off batteries I’m already carrying, it’s worth having around as a plan B. Just don’t expect it to be magic on the first try every time.

Using my Makita 18v batteries to power this jumper set, I was able to boost a 2018 Dodge Cummins diesel engine at -26°c! While the batter was too low to start the truck, it had just enough power to turn the glow plugs on and the lights, etc. but as soon as I went to start it, it would not crank over. But when I connected this, seeing an opportunity to test it out, I was doubtful of success. Wow! What a surprise!

After running the glow plugs a few cycles, I attempted to start the big diesel. And to my surprise, within 3sec, the truck ck coughed to life. And it had plenty of power to do so with my Makita battery doing the powering of it. Shocker.

When I checked my power level of my battery afterwards, I was surprised to see that it had only consumed about 1/8 of its power reserve. And as the cold night progressed, I ended up boosting 2 other vehicles on the same battery. Making me wonder why the fleet had not chosen a different brand! But also making me grateful to have gotten this booster.

The power clamps hold fairly well to the terminals. And make good contact without struggling. And although the kit itself is extremely lightweight and compact, the material and design quality is exceptionally good for providing decent power for quite a few attempts at starting. It maintains decent temperature while boosting. But I recommend allowing time to cool if it doesn’t start the vehicle in a short attempt of 30sec bursts, with breaks of 1min between. And it should allow for a very reasonable life span.

A very good value. And a must have for any compact emergency roadside service kit.
