It does not adapt well to the compressor hoses, I have 4 different hoses and with all of them it is the same problem, you need to use not only one adapter but two or three which is quite uncomfortable to use

This Detail gun works great! The components are solid and do not have a lot of play. I think this is a very good value tool for the cost. It works as well or near as well as the tools that cost twice as much.

I was not familiar with this sort of tool until I found it on Amazon vine and then did a little research. I decided to give it a try and see what the hype is about. Well, I fully detailed my Jeep the other day and found this tool is amazing! Anyone who likes to keep a clean car and get debris out of carpets and crevices will love this tool. It works better than a vacuum so I found myself using this to dislodge debris, and dust and then vacuuming up the mess.
Unlike another review, I had no leak issues. I even forgot to use a tool to tighten the air connection and still didn’t have a leak. I simply hand tightened the male connector onto the handle of the gun with the included o-ring and hand tightened the plastic cone onto the end of the gun. The gun seems well built and should last a long time. I suspect the part that will eventually fail is the flexible tube that spins around inside the cone and then perhaps the cone itself. All of these tools, no matter where you buy from, these would be the parts to get worn first. I did notice one that claimed the tube was made of metal but not sure how that ends up working or how loud that would be.
I used my Dyson vacuum to go over the mats, carpets etc first to remove large particles, leaves etc. I did a pretty thorough job of vacuuming with a motor head attachment but still some stuff was stuck in the fibers of the mats, carpets and corners. I then took this took and started experimenting. Immediately it was blowing the stuck items out of the fibers as well as dirt and dust I couldn’t see that obviously the vacuum totally missed! I had to play with the pressure settings to make sure it had enough to get the tube moving at a good pace inside the cone. I then found higher pressure equaled better results on carpets. I found using it further away working in circles worked for some areas but for the most potentially dirty areas, brining it within an inch or less of the surface, working in cirlcles and different angles started pulling dirt stuck deep in the mats out. This close work also fluffed up the berber weave on my mats making it look almost new again. I blew the dirt out of the mats, vacuumed them and did it again. I repeated this several times until dirt stopped coming out of the mats. Still can believe how much dirt vacuuming alone missed.
I used the gun to blow dust off the dashboard, out of controls, buttons, door handles, cup holders, under seats, seat crevices, perforated leather, etc. so much faster than vacuuming!
I looked around Amazon and found the price for this gun in line with others. Most seem to share the same basic design. I don’t have experience with others but I except there probably is not a lot of difference in performance between those that look the same. Perhaps some can handle higher pressure? If so, not sure what that would add since this worked great. I can’t believe I lived so long without one of these. I will certainly buy another if this ever breaks.
I recommend this product highly and will be telling everyone about it. I love having things clean and new looking and this product did an excellent job at a very reasonable price!
