After paying big bucks to have the dealer replace my cabin filter, I decided to do it myself. This filter was an exact fit, was easy to install, and works great. Much better quality than the one the dealer had installed.

VW parts are usually expensive and hard to find. This was a perfect OEM fit for my 2008 VW Passat wagon. Quality is excellent, and installation was pretty easy. There are very good videos on Youtube that will show you how to DIY installation. Can already feel the improvement in air quality inside the cabin. Highly recommend.

I’m generally pleased with it’s performance. It fits well seems sturdy enough to do the job without it being crumbled upon taking it out of the package. However I’m still unsure as what the activated carbon does in this particular filter. I’m sure there are many ways to figure that out online but I personally believe in giving a product description if you are making a sale online.
I can’t really pinpoint any noticeable difference in terms of air purification beyond the usual improvements you’d get from a standard air filter. Overall the smell in my car is definitely fresher.
