BEWARE! this will not work on an older 6 volt positive ground auto with a dash indicator lamp. The P terminal (indicator lamp) is switched using a transistor not a mechanical switch contact. The transistor is a PNP transistor which will work with a negative ground only. If you want to use this with a positive ground the inside transistor needs to be replaced with a NPN transistor (2N2222A). If you use it with a negative ground you should be OK.
Also there is no clicking sound when flashing.
DESERTRAT –
Not much different than the original it replaced.

I used this in a ’53 international harvester. The audible click is quiet and difficult to hear but that isn’t an issue for me. I only used 2 prongs instead of 3 but it works great and it is much cheaper than many other 6 volt flashers.

This flasher worked perfectly on my Model A with LED taillights. I was concerned that the LEDs wouldn’t draw enough power to allow the flasjer to work but apparently they do.

This part is A LOT larger than expected. Is slightly bigger around than a glass bottle cap, and a couple inches tall this is a monster for what I was expecting. Aside from the awkward size, and finding a place it hide it away, it seems to work as advertised.
Ray Laliberte –
would like it to be louder
Neil –
A little disappointed as it will not operate indicator light. Otherwise work well.

Solved my problem. Used it to fix 6 volt turn signals on a 1974 Honda XL 350.

Old one would skip a beat all over the place but this one is rock steady!

This is not a Bussmann flasher. It not work correctly and will not handle load. I think of it as a BS type flasher. I’m shopping for a replacement, a waste of time and $
