Very poor quality casting. The part I received was actually bent and would not slide completely into the ignition housing. Appeared to be cast this way, or maybe it was removed from the mold too early. Either eay it would not work. I purchased a higher quality part from a different source and it worked perfectly.

Fit just fine on E34 BMW 1995 530i. Be sure to watch yuotube videos on how to remove the Lock cylinder. drill a hole or grind a slot for access to the release pin on cylinder. It is nearly impossible to use the “shim” method. AND BE SURE TO TURN KEY to correct position or release pin wont move. THE part fit OK and works fine, maybe not as perfect as original tho.,

Do not buy this part from this seller. The lobes are misaligned/out of tolerance for this part – my ignition cylinder kept binding up with this installed, spent hours trying to diagnose. I bought from a different seller and it worked right away. The other seller also had a heavier steel material and finish. See photo: OEM (left), this seller (middle), other seller (right). Don’t waste your time like I did.
