I replaced my y-pipe for my 1994 GMC Jimmy CPI 4.3L, and could not get the old O2 sensor out. Instead I installed my y-pipe installed a bung plug (just a huge bolt) in my 02 sensor hole (with lots of anti-seize) and ordered this O2 sensor. This took care of my check engine light on for the lack of an O2 sensor. I will say if you do have same generation Jimmy the wiring is JUST long enough to reach the plug, even with rerouting the plugs.
RuNuts –
I used this to replace the one wire O2 sensor that I installed during a carb to EFI/TBI conversion. The one wire would fall out of closed loop and take too long to go into closed loop. This goes into closed loop quickly and according to the scan software, is working perfect.
I tapped in to the fuel pump wire to drive another relay that powers the heater wires (two white wires – one ground and the other hot). This prevents the O2 sensor from going hot with the ignition in the on position, but engine off.

Threaded in and the plug fit. It’s an off road farm truck but seems to start and run good.

Bought one 3 years ago from pep boys and it failed. Bought another one from Amazon and got it very quickly. Its been 6 months and its going strong. I believe the old one failed due to burning antifreeze.
