Excellent for 1991 Volvo 240SE

So far so good.

Save yourself the time and trouble of splicing a generic sensor.
Just buy this one and be done with it.

Perfect OEM replacement for 1991 Volvo 240 (non-EGR) with B230F engine. This is the one. Install was straightforward and easy. Connectors match vehicle wiring harness just as they should. I’m pretty sure the sensor this replaced was the factory original from late 1990. As mentioned elsewhere, comes with a bit of anti-seize on threads, nice touch. Amazon price was considerably lower than Dealer and most aftermarket vendors.
I changed many variables on the car at the same time (new valves/springs, head work, intake/exhaust porting, Cometic MLS thin head gasket, new injectors, wilder cam, adjustable cam gear…) so it’s hard to say where this fits in to the equation. However, previous to all that work I was getting 17-19 MPG around town, no data on Highway mileage. After the work, I’m seeing 26-30 MPG on the highway; subtract 3 for in-town and another 1-2 when running the a/c… and it’s MUCH more fun to drive.
Time will tell what effect this part has on emissions. The car passed smog (barely) before the engine work; if I remember to, I’ll post relative numbers when it’s up for testing in early 2015.

Had a Bosch sensor go bad after about 3 years, hoping this one lasts longer. No problems otherwise, these things either work incredibly, or just puke out. Installed the new one in about ten minutes, car roared back to life.
