2001 325i with stock air box. Obviously, the gross aftermarket filter installed by the previous owner needed replaced. I don’t want to be that guy that swoons over how perfectly it fit, but I actually felt the universe align as I installed this filter. It was honestly euphoric. Snug but not too tight, and it held shape even when I tested it with some light bending. It truly fit perfectly by every possible aspect. The rubber seals are cut to exact dimensions and create a lovely cushion against the lid when the box is closed. The paper is high quality, folded neatly and evenly with no weak points. It arrived in a nice and clean cardboard box, gently taped shut with care.
Comparing it to the old filter, which didn’t seem to know what shape it wanted to be, it’s easy to just be happy with something that works this well. Turns out, I’m not crazy. The airbox wasn’t broken, it was just the previous filter was such terrible quality.
