I was getting a two error codes on my 1999 E320, both codes pointing to a defective driver side rear oxygen sensor (car has 4 O2 sensors total).
SHORT STORY: replaced with this part, and no more error codes !!!
Tips:
– I also purchased the Powerbuilt 648691 Oxygen Sensor Offset Puller, and would highly recommend (only 10 bucks).
– The cable for this sensor is actually longer than required, thus you will want to use some cable ties to keep the excess cable from dragging too low.
– I also used some Liquid Wrench oil on the old sensor, which helped remove.
– Once the part is replaced, clear the existing error codes with your hand scanner tool (I have a Actron CP9550, but any cheap scan tool will work)
– 15 minute job
