This listing and many others show as fitting 2001 SLK230. However, if your MAF is at top, held in by two bolts on one side and fitted with circular hose clamp on other side, this is the wrong part. You need 1110940148. This listing is for earlier style, with MAF down low in front, with buckle-style clamps. This one is longer and the top-side ones are shorter. This has electrical connection that sticks straight out, 90 degrees to length of assembly, while top-side has an L turn. I should have looked closely at mine and read a bit, but trusted the fitment guide and thought I’d skip trying to clean very old MAF after getting trouble code.
Part did look legit, in fancy Bosch packaging, with holograms and such.

Removed my check engine light that’s was due to this little guy . Works so far will update with time .
Car no longer stalls or runs rough . So far so good . Worth the money . Btw car was 1997 c230

Can’t speak for all the alternatives, but the one I bought leaked and had to be replaced. I’ve since seen other complaints. This is one of those cases where the OEM product is worth the price.

The car ran worse when installed it when cold. Put old one back on and it ran better. By that time too late to return.
