The item said they fit A.R.E caps and they do fit in the hole, however they won’t turn the level because the factory locks have a tab at 45 degrees and these are 90 degrees. Don’t waste your time if you need them for an A.R.E cap. They are super easy to key but now I’m stuck with them as they have been keyed.

I used 2 of these and modified to fit my over the wheel well tool boxes. Now my truck key works them. A little pricey and worth it. Easy-to-key great locks. Turn key the first time all the way clockwise and then counter clockwise. You will hear grinding sound when key is being turned and that is normal. Don’t give up one of mine I had to repeat the process before the lock turned as it should. The lock looks like a car door lock of years ago. Highly recommend product 👌.

Worked great to rekey my topper doors to my ignition key for my Toyota truck. Make sure you order right cylinder for your make vehicle. Received in a timely manner.

For anyone that doesn’t UNDERSTAND how these locks work. Do your research first instead not knowing and putting your short comings back the supplier. These locks are great! I’ve never had to do this sort of thing before. I will say once you turn the key etc. It’s tricky and you think you’ve made a mistake. Indeed you have not. All is good. I’ve read so many bad reviews on these locks but figured it’s cheaper that $500 which I was prepared to pay. Follow the instructions and most importantly make sure that you choose the correct lock for not only the application but the key you plan to use to unlock them. They’re all different depending on your vehicle make and model. Great value. Thank you!

I thought this was the perfect fix after a thief destroyed the door lock on my Mazda B2300/Ford Ranger.
Sadly, the lock body is not compatible with the retaining clip in my door. I ordered the Bolt washer, but that made the assembly too big to fit.

I was sceptical about how these work but am I glad I purchased them. Used them on my leer work truck topper. Easy to install. Works every time with factory truck key. 98 ram 2500.

I was skeptic after reading some of the reviews here. But I guarantee you, if you follow the instructions,it will work for good. and it’s really simple. Put the key inside, turn until it stops. And that’s it. It’s matched to your key. Brilliant!!!

Despite the vehicle finder saying that my truck key would not fit, it did indeed fit a 2019 F150 side cut key. This was a replacement for a leer top key that was previously fitted for a late model Chevy. Worked great, simple programming, no fuss. Was a bit of a challenge to figure out how to replace the old lock cylinder as it had a cam on it. The rusty c-shaped bracket (under center bolt-like center of lock cylinder) just needs to be tapped off with a flathead screwdriver and the cam comes right off. Picture of the old one inside of the cam provided for reference. I will be buying two more for the side locks!!!

I replaced 6 Bolt lock cylinders in my Royal utility bed tool box doors. 4 have already been replaced lasting anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months. The Bolt lock cylinders that came with the new utility bed lasted 4-1/2 years. Not sure why these (same as OEM) lock cylinders don’t last long at all.
Update: I have since found that the problems with these lock cylinders is due to a worn out key. If your key is worn out these lock cylinders will no last long. Have a new key made, order as many new lock cylinders as needed and do the auto coding on them with the new key. They should now last as long as the original new ones before the key wore out. I will update again if they still have a short life but they are working like they should at this point with no issues.

They work great! One truck key for works for all three of my canopy locks.
